New patients
A comfortable beginning to your dental care
Visiting a new dentist should feel welcoming and stress-free. Your first visit is about getting to know you, evaluating your oral health, and creating a personalized plan — plus forms, insurance, and payment options to make the process simple.
Your first visit
What to expect
Whether you are here for a routine exam, a specific concern, or a long-term dental home for your family, we tailor the visit to you — not a one-size-fits-all checklist.
Step 1
A warm welcome
When you arrive, our team will welcome you and help you get settled. If you are completing new-patient forms, we will make the process as straightforward as possible.
Step 2
Getting to know you
We take time to learn about your dental history, current concerns, goals, and anything that may affect your oral health — including anxiety or previous experiences.
Step 3
Comprehensive examination
Your dentist evaluates teeth, gums, bite, restorations, and overall oral health so we understand the complete picture — not just one concern.
Step 4
Digital imaging when needed
When appropriate, digital X-rays or iTero® scanning help us see what a visual exam cannot, and explain findings clearly on screen.
Step 5
Personalized discussion
We review findings, answer questions, and talk through options. There is never a need to feel rushed — decisions are made together.
Step 6
Your treatment plan
If treatment is recommended, we outline what, why, options, process, timing, and next steps so you feel confident before moving forward.
What should I bring?
- A valid photo ID
- Dental insurance information, if applicable
- A list of current medications
- Information about your medical and dental history
- Any recent dental X-rays or records, if available
- A list of questions or concerns you’d like to discuss
Nervous about the dentist?
You’re not alone. Tell us before or during your appointment — we can take extra time to explain procedures, answer questions, and make sure you feel comfortable before moving forward. You should always feel heard and in control.
For younger patients, we introduce the dental environment gently and explain care in an age-appropriate way so kids build healthy habits early.
